I made AnimeTrends, a website that lets you see how MAL scores of shows change over time anime anime score progression

level 2 · 3y st.net/profile/Reimillya Hey, I actually thought of stopping doing the graphs after someone mentioned a website similar to OP’s but still I continued because people still wanted them.
How about adding something to the graphs that shows the airing dates of each episode.
I would want to see the list of anime with highest difference and the lowest, though.
I agree that the range of scores the chart covers is probably larger than it needs to be. I thought I took into account the fact that MAL scores only really cover a small part of the 1-10 range, but evidently there’s still some room to narrow the range down further. I’ll try experimenting with it some more.
I’d certainly like to extend the library to older shows, however, it would require finding someone else’s historical data to import.
No idea, a couple of shows seem to have that. I thought I’d accounted for MAL showing a score of zero, but evidently there’s still some cases where that happens.
What happened to New Game!!? It drops from 8 to 0 and then back to 8
Shame it’s based on Vue though… I could help it was React.
All it matters is you learned something, by means of anime, its great.
This will probably become more interesting as you keep it up longer, but the lack of anything before Summer 2017 is kind of limiting to me. Do you have plans to extent to library or is there not enough data to?

It’s really interesting to see the change in some shows, but alot just stay the same

Why does the score progression go to 12 with such a wide range? MHA season 3 is making significant jumps in it’s score but you can’t really see it.
I specifically looked up Houseki no Kuni and that curve makes me so happy
The only reason the current dataset goes back a year is that a year ago was when I initially started this project and had it start collecting data, but then I kind of set it aside and didn’t properly finish it until recently.

Also, great looking site /u/OmegaVesko ! 😀
This time, however, I’m not too sure lol.
Will probably check out the manga anyways.
Dang, I’ve had the same idea to do this for a while now but never found the time to execute. Pretty confident that your app turned out better than mine ever would though.
The constant user growth of nearly every show makes me more interested in what the average growth rate for shows in a given season, and a comparison of that growth rate against individual shows.
This is definitely something I’d like to add. Shouldn’t be too complicated to do if MAL’s episode lists prove to be accurate.
level 1 · 3y st.net/profile/Sanso Great tool! Thank you very much. I was really intersted how would Legend of Galactic Heroes score срфтпу, because it started at 7.32, but now it is 7.52, and I think at one point it will be a lot higher.
level 2 · 3y st.co/user/BakaDebakar I think that, the thing matters is you are learning something, which adds up a value. Even making sites like this take a lot of effort and the one making it needs to know a lot of thing.
Hey, the existence of a website doesn’t mean there isn’t still a market for people who make and post charts; sites like AniChart existing doesn’t stop people from making chart images every season. Images are a more convenient format for posting to a forum for discussion, after all.
This is great! scorbunny anime wiki
